Cornwall’s investment opportunities showcased in Westminster
Cornwall UK has taken Cornwall’s investment proposition to the heart of Westminster, showcasing opportunities across the region to investors, developers and key decision-makers at the Houses of Parliament.
The event, hosted by the UK Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), brought together potential investment partners to hear about Cornwall’s ambitions, development opportunities and plans for sustainable economic growth.
It marks an important next step in Cornwall UK’s work, alongside Cornwall Council and partners across the region, to raise Cornwall’s profile as a place to invest, innovate and grow.
Cornwall has built a strong relationship with UKREiiF over several years, using its national platform to showcase the region’s development pipeline, emerging industries and investment potential. That relationship has now led to Cornwall being selected as one of a small number of places to receive additional direct support from UKREiiF.
Building relationships that lead to investment
The Parliamentary event focused on making direct connections between Cornwall and the people who can help unlock future investment.
Cornwall has significant opportunities across development, infrastructure and a range of emerging and established sectors. Cornwall UK provides a platform to bring those opportunities together and present a clear proposition to potential investors and partners in the UK and internationally.
The work supports the ambitions of Cornwall’s International Strategy, developed by Cornwall Council with partners, to strengthen Cornwall’s external relationships, attract investment and create opportunities for businesses and communities.

“For UKREiiF to now select Cornwall as one of only a handful of places to receive this level of direct support is a real vote of confidence in what we have to offer. It gives us an exceptional opportunity to tell Cornwall’s story directly to people who have the ability to help us turn our ambitions into reality.”
From Westminster to Cornwall
The Parliamentary showcase is part of a longer-term approach to turn national and international interest in Cornwall into tangible opportunities.
In November, UKREiiF is set to bring investors and developers to Cornwall, giving them the opportunity to visit key sites, explore investment opportunities first-hand and meet the businesses, organisations and people behind them.
The visit will help move conversations from raising awareness of Cornwall’s potential to exploring how investors and partners could play a role in delivering future projects.
