If you are interested in promoting your business or sharing your journey of work and life so far in this amazing County of ours then the Careers Hub in Cornwall & Isles of Scilly may well be the perfect organisation for you to do just that.
The Careers Hub is a central part of the government’s Careers Strategy. The aim is to help all secondary schools and colleges implement high quality careers guidance so young people make informed decisions around their future choices and progress in to great careers here in Cornwall or further afield. We also provide help and advice to businesses who want to find ways to reach their future workforce.
The Careers Hub in Cornwall & Isles of Scilly have been working for the past four years to bridge the gap between education and the world of work. We now have a thriving network of 60 Enterprise Advisers (strategically minded business volunteers) that already work with Careers Leaders in our schools and colleges, providing valuable support linking the world of work to education.
Progress is being made but we still have a long way to go before we reach our ambition of high-quality careers advice that results in every young person from Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly achieving their best next step. With increasing numbers of unfilled vacancies, an ageing workforce and skills gaps what better way to address some of these challenges than to utilise your business knowledge, experience and showcase your passion to inspire the next generation and future workforce?
